Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is the sequel to the popular game Lego Batman that came out back in 2008. This game combines super heroes and Lego which, this game has proven is an awesome combination.
Story:
CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS.
The story is all told through cutscenes which have which have full voice acting, this is a first in the Lego games instead of just grunts and screams. Basically in the first 2 levels you are catching most of batman’s main foes then in the 3rd level Joker escapes from Arkham Asylum and joins with Lex Luthor to take over Gotham. It is up to you to play as the various DC super heroes, mainly Batman, Robin, and Superman, and defeat them.
Gameplay:
Unlike the console and PC versions this version removed the free roaming around gotham city which was very disappointing since it was a first for Lego games as well. Like most Lego games you will go through levels destroying stuff, beating up enemies, and solving easy puzzles to collect studs.
Graphics:
The graphics of this game aren’t much to look at, the characters are Lego and most of the environments are also Lego, so they do what they are trying to do very well. But the cutscenes have a huge graphical drop, you can see the pixels very clearly and the 3D is usually disabled during them as well. The 3d in the rest of the game is not very good either, the characters don’t pop out much from the environments and it makes the pixels more visible as well.
Final Verdict:
This is an awesome addition to the Lego series and is worthy of your time, but if you do have the option the console and PC counterpart is preferable.
